Welcome to Terratales, where we bring you closer to the stories of our planet’s changing climate.
Every country has its own tale to tell, and today we take you on a journey across three unique
regions: Egypt, Brazil, and Germany. Through their stories, you'll explore how climate change
affects these lands, their people, and the ecosystems they depend on.
Our goal is to make complex data easy to understand and meaningful for everyone. We want to tell a story that not only influences and engages people but also makes them enjoy the experience. Through interactive features and a fun game, users can explore the data in a way that feels personal. And if the story or the game doesn’t resonate, we’ll show them AI-driven data models that reveal the future value of Earth—if we don’t take action."
We tell a nontraditional story where Mother Earth meets her three children: the Southern Hemisphere, pNorthern Hemisphere, and Neutral Conditions. Every five years, they discuss their experiences and the climate changes that have occurred, using representative countries as examples. This information is presented on our website, based on data from NASA's GHG Center. However, we wanted to engage people to take action. To achieve this, we've created an interactive game that helps individuals recognize their environmental impact and carbon footprint, as each country consists of its citizens. since a story or a game is not enough to make people change and realize the reality of climate change, we include a section that forecasts future impacts to inspire immediate action.
We developed an AI model that predicts future conditions by analyzing recent images.
